Lee Gross is a fiber-based sculpture artist from St. Petersburg Florida whose work is centered around puppetry and performance. Gross’ work explores themes of the uncanny, utilizing exaggeration and distortion to convey abject bodily discomfort. She expresses herself through caricatures that blur the line between human and ‘creature’, communicating the human condition in relationship to the body as both animalistic and vulnerable.
